Youth

Our vision at St. Saviour’s Youth is to be a light in our community; to love God, love people and make a difference. Each week we grow in faith, hang out and journey through life together in a fun and relational way.

All our volunteers are fully DBS checked.

Yth Study // Sundays 10:30am Service.

This is our chilled Bible study for all school years 7-12. We spilt the group into two: Younger Youth = years 7/8/9. Older Youth = 10/11/12

We start our time catching up and drinking hot chocolates. We then open the Bible, reflecting on a passage in pairs and then discussing in groups. Finishing with prayers. We often end on a game. We currently have 25 teenagers attending regularly.

Yth Nights // Sunday 6pm Service.

This is our youth group that focuses on discipleship courses like Alpha, the difference course, Chosen Series and Bible Project videos.

We start our evening by staying in the main service for the first 20 minutes of sung worship, then we head out to kick start our session with a group game (Bench-ball is a favourite) – Then start the course we are currently doing. (Please note, during May – July, we pause our usual 6pm group to stay in the main service and sit together, we meet either before or after the 6pm service to have toasties together, please get in contact if you wish to know more about timings etc)

On average we currently have 30 teenagers attending regularly.

Yth Pod Groups.

Here at St Saviours, PoD stands for Places of Discipleship. The youth ministry we love meeting up for pizza, card games and informal sofa chats about faith and life as a teenager. We have THREE age groups that overlap and include dinner.

Years 7/8 meet from 6pm – 7pm

Years 9/10 meet from 6:45pm – 7:45pm

Years 11/12/13 meet from 7:30pm – 8:45pm

(Food is served at 6:45pm until 7pm for the first two groups, and at 7:30pm for the last group)
