We believe that everybody, whatever their level of ability, is an important and vital part of our Big Family, and is able to fully know the love of God.

We recognise that for some people, accessing church and events can be challenging. Therefore, we seek to provide a welcoming, safe and accessible programme for all. We have three sessions which run to coincide with our 10.30am and 6pm Sunday services.

Sunday Groups

Trekkers is the additional need children’s ministry at St Saviours.  There are three sessions that  run to coincide with our 10.30am and 6pm Sunday services during term time only. The sessions involve fun, activity-based bible themes with craft and drama.  Advance booking is essential to ensure a safe ratio of children to volunteers.

Adventurers and Hikers

During the 10.30 service Trekkers is divided into these 2 groups.  Children of all ages are placed according to their individual needs and abilities.


This is the group that runs during the during the 6pm service.  This group is mainly for children aged 12 and over with additional needs.

Thursday Groups

Alongside these Sunday meeting there are midweek Trekkers groups for parents and carers.  These normally run on Thursdays during term time unless otherwise stated. Events are held at 6 Clifford Manor Road, GU4 8AG.  All are welcome, to find out more, please contact one of the team.

Footprints 10am-11.45am

Meets alternate Thursdays during term time.  Time out to have a cuppa, eat home-made cakes and talk about God.  There is a creche available for preschool children.  Please let us know in advance if you will need the creche.

Dates for this term: 25th April, 6th June, 20th June, 11th July

Trekkers Craft and Chat 11am-2pm

For parents and carers of children with additional needs to come and enjoy tea and coffee with the aim of having fun together while the children are in school.

Dates for this term: 2nd May, 16th May, 13th June, 27th June

Trekkers Lunches 12-2pm

These run once per half term.  Dates this term: 9th May, 4th July

Trekkers Festival

Our fantastic Trekkers Festival returns this year between 13th-16th August. Each day will run from 10am – 1pm. This will be a great event for children with additional needs and their whole family with plenty of fun and exciting activities to enjoy!

Lots to do
There will be bouncy castles, crafts, lightroom, music, fun workshops, parents zone and so much more…

Parents to Stay on Site
We ask that all parents remain on site throughout the Festival.  You can do this in our parents area which will include a cafe, a relaxation area and an arts and crafts area.

Bring Your Own Picnic!!
We will all gather together at 12.15 for lunch.

Trekkers Trips

We will run termly days out for families with subsidised entrance fees and assistance with transport an option. Keep an eye out for more events in the coming months.

Please note:

Trekkers will not run over the summer holidays.  Last day of trekkers this term is the 21st July. Trekkers will start back on the 8th September.

Trekkers Christmas lunch (at church) 5th December 12-2pm

Trekkers Christmas parties on the 15th December

    • Adventurers and Hikers 12.30-2.30pm after the Family Carol Service.  All Trekkers families are welcome to attend the Family Carol service with their children.  This will be a fun service with songs and activities aimed towards children.
    • Trailblazers 6-8pm alongside the Contemporary Carol service
