Peter Levell

Peter was ordained as a Non-Stipendiary Minister (NSM) in 2002, after a career teaching classics, then 24 years in educational management, and after that running a national Christian Charity, Prospects for People with Learning Disabilities (recently amalgamated with Livability).  He leads and preaches, especially at the 9am services, and takes weddings and funerals.  He and his wife Pam (married for 55 years!) have wide experience of pastoral care.

Peter is also a Spiritual Director for the Diocese, supporting a number of people in ministry.  Since March 2017 he has been Honorary Chaplain at the Loseley Christian Help Centre for people with cancer and Parkinson’s Disease, and their carers.  These groups meet on the first three Tuesdays of each month for Holy Communion, prayer, worship, a talk, and time for sharing and mutual support.

Peter likes travel (especially to classical sites), opera, music and the arts, and is an expert on vintage London buses!
